Albert Chan is the Clinic Director and Owner of Elevation Physiotherapy. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1996. He has a strong interest in the management of complex and difficult-to-treat orthopedic conditions. In the past 4 years, Albert has worked collaboratively with Physiatrists (Medical Specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) and pain management Physicians at the IPAX Clinic to successfully treat patients undergoing interventional procedures like Cortisone injections, Lidocaine Myofascial Injections, Botox, Prolotherapy, Platelet-rich plasma injections (PRP) and autologous blood injections.
Albert is also a runner and is passionate about the treatment and prevention of running injuries. When he is not working, you will likely see him training to improve his race times.
As well, Albert has been successfully treating dizziness, balance disorders and vestibular problems since 2009.
Albert is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT) since 2002 having completed his Advanced Diploma in Manipulative Therapy. He completed his Gunn IMS training in 2007. In addition to clinical practise, Albert is a Clinical Instructor for the University of Western Ontario Master of Clinical Sciences program. He also provides clinical instruction to physiotherapists undergoing further certification in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy Program.
