Alison graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Science and certificate in Athletic Therapy in 2008. She then completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy degree at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2010. In 2015, Alison completed the Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. Since graduating, Alison has taken various continuing education courses, including soft tissue release, k-taping, acupuncture, and manual therapy. Alison has experience treating orthopaedic, sports, motor vehicle, and workplace injuries. Her practice incorporates a mixture of manual therapy, exercise, acupuncture, and modalities in order to reduce pain, restore function, and get patients back to their healthy and active lifestyles. Alison has been on faculty with the York University Athletic Therapy Certificate Program teaching students in class and in the clinic. She has also volunteered on the Canadian Board of Certification of Athletic Therapists since 2011 coordinating the National Certification Exam. In her spare time, Alison enjoys long-distance running and has completed 7 marathons to date, with aspirations of many exciting races ahead.
