I have been a physiotherapist since 1983 with a BSc degree in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University, Acupuncture Certificate with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 1995 and a Diploma in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy with the Orthopaedic Division of Canadian Physiotherapy Association in 1999, i.e. Part A and Part B. Prior to 1999, I took a year Sabbatical and spent with Wendy Aspinall in her “long courses” in 1996 to 1997. I have also been trained with Mariano Rocabado with all his course R1 to R6 in the management of Temporo-mandibular Joint Management. Furthermore, I have completed all level of courses with the McKenzie Institute and courses offered by David Butler in neuromolization and Mobilization with Movement with Brian Mulligan and Jack Miller. During the last three years, I have developed a special interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation and taken courses with Andre Riopel and Jennifer Towland. Currently, I am a candidate in DSc PT with Andrews University in Michigan, USA. Therefore, my focus in my clinical practice has been in the area of Orthopaedic Manual Physiotherapy and Vestibular Rehab. I have also been taking physiotherapy students from McMaster University, Queen’s University and University of Toronto for the last 25 years. I also had the honor of working with the Canadian Senior Rhythmic Gymnastic Team that competed in the Olympics 2012.
Currently, I am also a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) and a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.(CPO)
I was born, raised and I have been a practicing Physiotherapist in Sudbury Ontario since 2009. I grew up active, enjoying the outdoors, camp and the beauty of Northern Ontario. rnI went to university at Laurentian University, where I was a member of the varsity women’s soccer team and has obtained Bachelor of Physical and Health Education with a concentration in Health Promotion. rnI went on to achieve a Master\\\’s of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto and I have been working in outpatient orthopaedics since graduating in 2009. rnrnI am an advocate for functional strength training and combine a manual therapy approach with acupuncture, dry needling, education and functional exercise prescription, to empower patients to become active participants in their therapy and recovery
