Dry needling
Eve first graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Montreal. During her studies, she received a research bursary from the Faculty of Medicine. She presented her results in the REPAR and COPSE congresses and had an article published in the Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Although Eve enjoyed her experience in Speech Pathology, she wanted to have a broader understanding of the human body. rnrnrnPassionate about rehabilitation, the following year, Eve started her Baccalaureate in Physical Therapy and graduated on the Dean’s Honours List. With a desire to practice in the United States, Eve passed the American National Physical Therapy Exam and obtained her New York license in Physical Therapy while competing nationally and internationally as a ballroom dancer. Shortly thereafter, with an ongoing commitment to continuing education Eve wanted to gain further knowledge and hone her skills in orthopaedic manual therapy. Consequently, she completed a Masters of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy at Western University in Ontario. Upon completion of her degree, Eve was selected to present her research results at the World Confederation for Physical Therapy Congress in Amsterdam. Later that year, Eve published a systematic review and meta-analysis on the diagnostic validity of clinical tests in temporomandibular internal derangement in the esteemed journal Physiotherapy Canada. She also lead a symposium on temporomandibular internal derangement as well as presented her research results at the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists conference. Eve is also involved in research and is currently teaching on the subject of temporomandibular and pelvic-lombo-hip dysfunctions at the University of Montreal. As a member of the CAMPT executive committee, she feels it is important to be involved in the development and promotion of her profession. Eve’s practice is focused on offering the best patient care and she is continually keeping up-to-date with several post-graduate courses each year. Currently, she is finishing her certification in dry-needling.rnrnrnEve also has unyielding interests in performing arts physiotherapy, sports injuries, vestibular rehabilitation, orofacial pain, advanced practice physiotherapy and research. Besides physiotherapy, Eve enjoys running, yoga, traveling, arts and social sciences such as dance, cinema, theater, visual arts, history and geography as well as learning foreign languages.
Isabelle Duchesne est physiothérapeute chez Kinatex à Montréal et traite depuis 2001 des musiciens professionnels et étudiants des facultés de musique universitaires et collégiales.Elle détient un Fellowship en thérapie manuelle orthopédique (FCAMPT), et sa passion pour les musiciens l’amène à étudier en Médecine des Arts à la Clinique du musicien de Paris, et elle y fait conjointement une formation avec son mentor Marc Papillon et devient formatrice «Plaisir de Jouer ©» à Montréal. Depuis 2011, elle est conférencière à la faculté de musique Schulich de McGill, et offre également des ateliers pour les musiciens professionnels auprès du conseil québécois de la musique (CQM) sur la prévention des blessures professionnelles du musiciens.
Isabelle Duchesne is physiotherapist at Kinatex in Montreal, and is working with professional musicians an students of university music schools since more than 15 years.rnShe holds a Fellowship in manual and manipulative physiotherapy (FCAMT), and her passion for musicians led her to study in Arts Medecine at the «Clinique du musicien de Paris» and jointly with her mentor Marc Papillon,; she becomes «Plaisir de Jouer ©» trainer in Montreal.Since 2011, she is a lecturer at the McGill Schulich School of Music since 2011, and also offers workshops for professional musicians with the Conseil Québécois de la Musique (CQM) on the «Prevention of musculosqueletal injuries for musicians.»
I graduated in Paris (France) in 1989 (masseur-kinesitherapeute). I came to Montreal (Quebec, Canada) in 1990 and obtained my equivalency of the B.Sc of Physiotherapy at Mc Gill University in 1991.
I did all my courses in manual therapy (E.V. system) and followed different courses in spinal stabilisation, kinetic control, neurodynamic system mobilisation, shoulder stabilisation, vestibular rehabilitation, chest physiotherapy, pain education, evaluation and treatment of torticollis, plagiocephalgia, orthopaedic and neuro-motor development of babies and children. More recently I did my modules1 to 3 of the CRAFTA ( Cranio-Fascial Therapy Association) program.
I did my intermediate exam in 1999 and became a Fellow of Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapy (FCAMPT) and a mentor in 2000. I did my Master of Clinical Science at the university of Western Ontario in 2016. My research project was to conduct a systematic review on the reliability of the clinical measurements of the humeral head position and was published in 2016.
I have been co-teaching manual therapy since 2003. I am currently teaching Level 1 ,2 and 3 and co-teach level 4 in the province of Quebec, as well as in Paris and Bordeaux (France). I am also very proud to be part of team which started to implement the manual therapy program in France since 2012… It is like coming back home…
I was admitted as a Canadian examiner of the National Orthopaedic Division in 2016.
I am also involved in different committees reviewing and translating manuals and organizing congresses and symposiums, the latest being the social committee of the 2012 IFOMPT Congress in Quebec City.
I am currently working part time as a clinician and mentor in a private clinic in orthopaedics and paediatrics, as well as at Sainte Justine Hospital in the paediatric and neonatal intensive care units since 1992.
I am very active in outdoor sports (running, cycling, hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing). I like to play the guitar, to sing and having fun with my family and friends the rest of the time!
Diplomée à Paris de l’Ecole francaise d’orthopédie et de massokinésithérapie (EFOM) en 1989, Christine arrive à Montréal en 1990 et obtient son équivalence du BSc. en Physiothérapie à l’université Mc Gill en 1991. En 2016, elle obtient une Maitrise en Sciences Cliniques de l’Université de Western Ontario.
Christine enseigne au sein de l’AQPMO depuis 2003 et est très heureuse de faire partie de l’équipe d’enseignants qui participent à l’implantation du programme canadien de formation en thérapie manuelle en France depuis 2012 en collaboration avec KPTEN. Elle est également coordonatrice des niveaux 2 supérieurs.
Elle travaille comme clinicienne en pratique privée avec une clientèle orthopédique. Ayant suivi de nombreux cours de formation continue, elle a développé un intérêt particulier pour les problématiques cranio-faciales, temporo-mandibulaires, vestibulaires, les cas complexes en orthopédie, ainsi que pour les tout-petits ayant des problèmes orthopédiques, de torticolis et de plagiocéphalie.
Christine travaille également depuis presque 30 ans à l’unité des soins intensifs pédiatriques et dans le service de néonatalogie du Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sainte-Justine à Montréal.
Elle s’est impliquée dans les comités d’organisation de plusieurs symposiums nationaux et internationaux au Québec et fait partie d’un comité de révision-traduction des manuels de cours de thérapie manuelle.
Soucieuse et désireuse de partager ses connaissances et son expérience clinique, elle agit aussi à titre de mentor pour les étudiants désirant accumuler leurs heures de supervision clinique au sein du programme Canadien de thérapie manuelle avancé, pour lequel elle est examinatrice canadienne de la division orthopédique depuis 2016

Sarah is a licensed, CAMPT-certified physiotherapist specializing in the management of vestibular and orthopedic injuries. She completed her Bachelor of Science (Anatomy & Cell Biology) at McGill University in 2006, and went on to complete her Master of Science (Applied) Physical Therapy in 2010. She completed her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy and achieved the rank of Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists in Fall 2017.
Sarah’s fields of interest are post-concussion syndrome, vestibular rehabilitation, neck and back pain, and cervicogenic headache. Sarah has also worked in the development and implementation of a successful interdisciplinary concussion rehabilitation program, and has implemented this model at Physiothérapie Avantex. Sarah strives to offer the most effective, evidence-based care for all of her clients. She regularly participates in conferences and continuing education activities in order to stay at the forefront of the field.
Sarah is also an accomplished long-distance runner and triathlete. She loves working with athletes of all levels, from weekend-warriors to professionals.

Yagil Epstein completed his bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University in 2007. In 2012 he completed a Masters of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy at the University of Western Ontario and became FCAMPT certified, the highest level of manual therapy available to physiotherapists.
Yagil now runs his own private practice, Physio 360, providing physical therapy to clients at home or in his clinic. He helps all different types of patients ranging from a geriatric to youth as well as professional athletes to recreational weekend warriors.

Je détiens une maîtrise clinique en thérapie manuelle de l’université Western depuis 2015 et j’ai obtenu le FCAMPT en 2010. J’ai 10 ans d’expérience comme clinicienne en orthopédie en plus de 5 ans d’expérience comme co-enseignante et enseignante avec l’AQPMO. Présentement, je suis responsable de la formation continue de plus de 12 thérapeutes, du mentorat des nouveaux gradués ainsi que des présentations de différents cas à certains spécialistes en médecine. Je m’occupe du mentorat pour le programme de thérapie manuelle de l’ACP et pour les étudiants du programme MClSc de l’Université Western depuis 3 ans. Graduated from McGill in 1988, Marie-Claude opened her clinic in 1996, Kinatex-Jarry. For 21 years the clinic was located at Tennis-Canada’s Stadium in Montreal (Stade Uniprix). Now the clinic has moved just 1 km away, right in the middle of Montreal’s Little Italy.
Over the years Marie-Claude has developed a definite expertise in treating overhead athletes. She specializes in shoulder and spine disorders. Her clinic is the official clinic of Tennis-Canada. Since she obtained her Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy, she is an instructor in the Manual Therapy program in Canada and she is teaching her own courses such as “Dynamic shoulder dysfunctions”. She also teaches Manual Therapy in the Master’s program in Physical Therapy of the Sherbrooke University and in the Canadian System of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Program in France.
Since graduating from McGill in 1994, Louise has worked in a multitude of setting across Canada and the United States. After returning to Quebec and then completing her FCAMT in 2008, she had an opportunity to work at the headquarters of Cirque du Soleil, where the artists who were too injured to perform returned for physiotherapy. At this time, she is once again working in private practise as well as working as an assistant in the orthopaedic division levels. Her current area of interest is the concept of neuroplasticity and the role that the brain plays in pain.

Christine graduated from McGill University in 1993 and started working at the Montreal General Hospital. She has working in orthopaedic physiotherapy since that time. Since 2001, she has owned her own private clinic. The clinic philosophy is to give each patient the individual attention they deserve in a comfortable and private setting.
Chantal completed her Bachelor`s degree in Physical Therapy at McGill University in 2007 and has worked in private practice since that time. She went on to complete her Master`s of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy at The University of Western Ontario in 2011. Since then, Chantal has opened her own practice, she is a course lecturer with McGill University, a co-instructor with the Orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and mentors students in the manual and manipulative therapy program. Chantal is fluently bilingual in English and French.

Doreen Killens, pht, FCAMT, is a Chief Examiner and Instructor for the Canadian Orthopaedic Manipulative Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. A McGill University graduate, she received her FCAMPT qualifications in 1991. She is also certified in Intramuscular Stimulation and is Clinical director and co-proprietor of a private practice in Montreal (with Elaine Maheu). She has 35 years of clinical experience, with a particular interest in the field of headaches and myofascial dysfunction and has served as a consultant at the Migraine Clinic in Montreal since 1995. She has developed post-graduate courses in Mobilisation of the Myofascial System and teaches across Canada and Europe.
Elaine Maheu, B.SC.PT. McGill University, MClSc UWO, FCAMPT (Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy), Post-graduate diploma in Advanced Manipulative Therapy from the South Australian Institute of Technology, Member of the International Maitland Teachers Association,Instructor and Examiner for the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. In practice since 1978, Elaine teaches in Canada, Switzerland and France and acts as a consultant to numerous professionals, as well as to the Montreal Migraine Clinic. Elaine has been certified by ISTOP to practice intramuscular stimulation (Gunn IMS) and now has her certification for using dry needling from the OPPQ (Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec). In October 2012, she was awarded the Golden Hands Award from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and was given Lifetime Membership to CAMPT. She has been certified by the OPPQ to practice vertebral manipulations.
