Originally from The Netherlands, Eric moved to Newfoundland in 1988. He obtained his Manual and Manipulative Therapy certification in 1994 and worked as a clinician and manual therapy instructor throughout Canada until joining Cirque du Soleil in 2002. From 2002-2007 Eric travelled and worked as head therapist on several of Cirque du Soleil’s Touring shows, managing performance-related injuries of its acrobats, dancers, actors and musicians. He transferred into the role of Director of Performance Medicine Touring Shows in 2007, taking responsibility for the functioning and development of a total of 26 touring-show therapists. rnrnEric returned to St. John’s NL in January 2013 and currently practices from a multidisciplinary Orthopaedic Manual Therapy clinic, managing a caseload of orthopaedic-, sports- and dance-related injuries.
