Shannon graduated in 2009 from the University of Toronto with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy after obtaining her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University. She completed her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in 2014 and her training in Gunn-IMS in 2015. Shannon’s treatment philosophy is to treat the individual as there is no one size fits all solution to any patient’s pain. She carefully assesses her patient’s condition and goals, then develops a tailored treatment plan using a combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, IMS & exercise. Her ultimate objective is to restore the body’s proper biomechanics, improve the function of the nervous system and correct muscular imbalance to help the patient function pain free at their full capacity. Shannon specializes in treating patients with both acute and chronic neck and back pain, athletes with sports injuries at all levels and has treated many patients with post-operative knee/shoulder repairs. She continues to be very involved in the physiotherapy profession and enjoys giving back by mentoring and instructing other physiotherapists through the Orthopeadic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the University of Toronto.
