

Anita has been practicing physiotherapy since she graduated from the University of Western in 1999. Prior to this she attended the University of Waterloo where she attained an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in 1996. In 2003 Anita became a STOTT Pilates Instructor. Anita works in private practice with her focus being primarily on sports injuries and orthopedics. She has a strong interest in core stability training. In 2005 she achieved her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative therapy and has her certification with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. Anita has most recently completed a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program. Anita feels that continuing education is essential to being a good clinician.


Sarah cares about getting to the root cause of your issues so that you can move well and be well for years to come. After years of working in downtown Toronto, she has moved back to Waterloo County and set up her own practice there called Root Physiotherapy, in Uptown Waterloo.
Sarah completed her MScPT at the University of Toronto and completed her advanced training, an MClScMT at Western University to become an FCAMPT in 2015.
When Sarah isn’t working, you can find her doing yoga (she is also a Yoga Instructor), spending time outdoors, or connecting with family and friends.

Randall has practiced at Waterloo Sports Medicine for the last 18 years. Randall has enjoyed combining his manual therapy skills with sports specicfic trainig for many elite and not so elite athletes. Randall believes that every client should receive the best possible care so they can enjoy what ever activity they have chosen.
I am a Registered Physiotherapist with over 18 years experience. I graduated from Queen’s University in 1999 and subsequently graduated from Curtin University in Perth Australia with a Masters of Manipulative Therapy. I am passionate about being a physio and doing the utmost for my patients and try to keep my skills current through taking many continuing education courses. I have extensive experience and course in the treatment of vestibular and dizziness concerns. I achieved my certificate of competence in Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. When not in clinic, I enjoy reading, speed skating,downhill skiing, golf and running after my 3 boys.
Jonathon has his Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University as well as his Kinesiology degree from Simon Fraser University. Jonathon has worked in rehabilitation for over 25 years and specializes in manual therapy and exercise to promote recovery from injuries including MVA, workplace, and sports injuries. Jonathon has completed his Advanced Manipulative Therapy and has a special interest in core stability exercises to promote functional reactivation at home, in the workplace, and for recreational activities. Jon has provided medical coverage and performed training duties for international and university level athletes in several sports including rugby, baseball, soccer, and wrestling. He has also helped with the clinical skills training of physiotherapy students at McMaster University. Jonathon maintains the Fit Fore Golf program at SOS Physiotherapy including golf specific exercise classes and training sessions to improve your game. He enjoys golf, baseball, hockey and the occasional spin class, and is the happy (read busy) father of 8, 10, and 13 year old boys as well as a 14 year old girl.
Andrew Woelk, BHSc(PT), BA(SDS), BTh, CAFCI, FCAMPT (co-owner)
Andrew is a registered physiotherapist having received his physiotherapy degree from McMaster University and his BA from the University of Waterloo. He has also continued his extensive post-graduate courses with a focus on manual therapy and acupuncture. Thirteen years ago Andrew started his rehabilitative career working with persons with acquired brain injuries and is currently a part owner of SOS Belmont. He enjoys rehabilitation of persons with acute and chronic conditions with a strong interest in rehabilitation of persons with spinal dysfunctions.
Between studies Andrew took a year to volunteer in South America to help care for street children in Asuncion, Paraguay. Besides studies he has also helped teach clinical skills to physiotherapy students at McMaster University. Andrew enjoys most sports, but has a keen interest in hockey, soccer, and mountain biking. Outside of his work he is kept busy being a proud father of an 9 year old girl and two boys ages 6 and 4.



Rabi graduated from the University of Toronto in 1996 with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) Award for Clinical and Academic Excellence. He has practiced physiotherapy in a variety of clinical settings but he has been based in the orthopaedic private practice setting since 2000. He has a special focus on sports-related injuries as the physiotherapist of the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club since 2001. He also received a Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine from the McKenzie Institute International in 2000, completed the Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA in 2004, and became certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 2009. In 2012, Rabi graduated from the Discover Physio Series instructed by Diane Lee and Dr. Linda-Joy Lee. These two clinicians are at the forefront of research and teaching in orthopedics in Canada. He has been an assistant instructor with Discover Physio teaching the Thoracic Ring Approach (LJ Lee) and the Integrated Systems Model for Disability & Pain (Lee and Lee) since early 2013. Rabi is also a certified practitioner in Gunn Intra-Muscular Stimulation (Gunn IMS) through the University of British Columbia and for concussion assessment and management by Complete Concussion Management Inc.


Adam has an interest in identifying and addressing faulty movement patterns that are often contributing factors to both chronic and acute injuries. Through corrective exercises, manual therapy and functional strengthening, he strives to both optimize your performance and return you to your activities as effectively as possible. In his spare time Adam enjoys strength training, snowboarding, playing golf and spending time with his family.

Practicing in Waterloo,Ontario treating a multitude of sports and general orthopaedics. Clientele of all ages. Special interests are hockey, football, golf, cycling and skating.

Jason graduated from Western University in 2009 with a Bachelor\\\\\\\’s degree in Kinesiology (BKin). He continued to McMaster University to complete his Master\\\\\\\’s degree in Physiotherapy (MScPT) in 2011. Jason is a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, and obtained his FCAMPT designation in 2016. His treatment philosophy utilises a combination of manual therapy and exercise training to achieve desired outcomes. He works in a multidisciplinary setting, and has many years of experience with sport coverage, including his role as the Team Physiotherapist for the University of Guelph Men\\\\\\\’s Rugby team. He is an active rock climber, and avid outdoorsman, and enjoys keeping his patients active so they can do the things they love.

Kyler graduated from Brock University with an Honours degree in Kinesiology and then completed his Masters in Physiotherapy at Western University. He has completed his post-graduate training in Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.rnrnKyler has completed additional courses in concussion rehabilitation, acupuncture, functional dry needling, Mulligan mobilizations and rehabilitation of golf related injuries. Kyler is TPI Certified and certified in dry needling. While he enjoys treating a variety of injuries and conditions, he has special interests in injuries associated with running, cycling and other endurance sports.rnrnKyler is an avid runner, and also enjoys road cycling, mountain biking and golfing.
Steve Brown graduated from George Brown College with a Fitness & Lifestyle management diploma before studying Kinesiology at York University from 2000-2004. He then studied Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto from 2004-2006 and received his Masters Of Physical Therapy degree. Steve has gone on to receive additional training in Mulligan Therapy (mobilization with movement), McKenzie Therapy, Acupunture, Integrated Dry Needling, Myofascial Therapy, and has received specialized training in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Steve has also undergone training with the Titliest Performance Institute to promote improved mobility and stability related to the golf swing and improvement of golf performance. In 2015, Steve successfully became an FCAMPT therapist.

Cheryl, who originally resided in Newfoundland, graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology (2001). After graduating from Acadia University, Cheryl went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2004. She received her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Orthopedic Division in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT).

Vanessa graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. She completed her undergraduate degree in Honours Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. Vanessa is also a member of the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology as a Certified Exercise Physiologist. In addition, she has completed her certification in Acupuncture with AFCI. Vanessa has a strong interest in sports rehabilitation and orthopedics and is a member of Sport Physiotherapy Canada.


Gena Van Rooyen is the sole physiotherapist at Full Life Physiotherapy in Cambridge, Ontario. Gena previously worked at at Grand River Sports Medicine in Cambridge from 2002-2013. She is a graduate of the Master of Science (Physiotherapy) program at McMaster University (2002). She obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) from Laurentian University in 1997.
Gena is committed to continuing education in the areas of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. She received her Certificate of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (Orthopaedic Division) in 2009.
Gena is also trained and certified in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (GunnIMS).
Gena has long been involved in athletics, and currently enjoys yoga, hiking and canoeing. She believes in the importance of health promotion as it relates to injury and disease prevention.
Her main areas of interest are the pelvis, lumbar spine, shoulder and cervical spine. She has enjoyed working with injured athletes since 2002. She is also a strong proponent of core stabilization as it relates to exercise and performance.

Sanja Voros graduated from The University of Western Ontario in 2002 with the Degree in Health Sciences. Then, she received her Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta, Canada in 2006.rnrnDuring the past 11 years, Sanja has worked in hospitals, private practices and a retirement home. She has been practicing physiotherapy and has treated a wide variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiorespiratory and pelvic health disorders in Canada and the United States. Her extensive post graduate training involves manual therapy and in 2016 successfully completed the Advanced Examination of the Orthopaedic Division of CPA. She has also received training in McKenzie techniques for the lumbar spine, pelvic health (prenatal/postnatal, urinary incontinence and prolapse as well as female chronic pelvic pain) and she also completed the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program in 2009. She also has gained interest and use of the Integrated Dry Needling techniques for the treatment of various orthopedic and chronic pain symptoms. rnBesides physiotherapy, Sanja enjoys socializing with friends and family, trying exotic foods, ballroom dancing, working out and playing tennis at the GSM Tennis Club in Kitchener, Ontario.

Hiten Thakker holds a Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences from McMaster University and a Masters in clinical science(manual therapy) from Western University. He is certified in Acupuncture, Advanced Neurofunctional Sports Performance, Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and Certified GUNN IMS, Certified Gokavi Transverse Technique specializing in chronic pain.He has received a Program Excellence Award from the Faculty of Health Science Graduate Program and Postdoctoral Studies, and is currently a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division.In addition to his formal education and professional accolades, Thakker has a passion for treating pain, as well as understanding the biopsychosocial aspect of it. He is excited by the continued expansion of this field, which challenges and motivates him to work harder and achieve better outcomes for his patients. Thakker’s practice favours a multi-modal holistic approach that looks at diagnosis and other factors which provide a full context of the patient. His treatment is complemented by the use of methods such as yoga, manual therapy and medical acupuncture, as he attempts to take into account both mind and body to achieve physical relief and meaningful functional change.
