DScPT, FCAMPT, CMAG, MCPA Laurie graduated from McMaster University and received her Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association with Distinction. She has developed and taught Continuing Education Manual Therapy Courses in Canada for over 20 years in Canada, Europe, Australia and the United States. In her current Advanced Practice role Laurie provides orthopaedic surgical assessments and acts as a resource for primary care providers and physiotherapists in diagnosis and management of orthopaedic complaints. Laurie completed a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy at Andrews University in Michigan in 2007. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University and a member of the HaNSA (Head and Neck, Shoulder, Arm) Research Team. Laurie is also a member of the Spine Expert Panel for the Ministry of Health and the Canadian Spine Society. She is an Examiner and former Chief Examiner for the Orthopaedic Division of the C.P.A, and an Instructor and Examiner for the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists in the United States for physiotherapists who want to specialize in orthopaedics. In addition, Laurie has been active on the Ontario College of Physiotherapy Committee to establish clinical practice guidelines for spinal manipulation.
