Monica Clarke graduated from the University of Toronto in 1990 and has more than 20 years of clinical experience in sport and private orthopaedic practice. Monica went on to study manual therapy and completed her Intermediate Manual Therapy Exam (formerly Part A) in 1996 and received her Diploma in Advanced Manual & Manipulative Physiotherapy (formerly Part B Exam) in 2000.rnAs a credentialed Instructor with the Orthpaedic Divsion of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Monica is involved in teaching and mentoring many other local therapist. She has taken many post graduate courses on a variety of topics of interest such as: shoulder injury rehabilitation, lumbar spine/pelvis assessment and treatment and running injury prevention and rehabilitation, myofascial treatment and evidence based practice. Recently having taken a hip rehabilitation course and attending the IFOMPT conference in Quebec City have added further knowledge and skill to assessment and treatment of patients. Monica is the co-owner of Stittsville Sport Physiotherapy Centre in Stittsville/Ottawa. FMS certified and SFMA Level 1. Monica spoke at the National Capital Knee Symposium in 2012 and 2016 to orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians and physiotherapists on the topic of physiotherapy for knee osteoarthritis (OA) and rehabilitation after knee replacement surgery. She has been recently certified as a Good Life with osteoArthritis (GLA:D) instructor.
