Following completion of a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2003, I obtained my Masters of Physical Therapy in 2006 from The University of Western Ontario. I have continued with post-graduate courses in manual therapy, Pilates, acupuncture, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, nerve mobilization and therapeutic taping. In 2015, I received my Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.
My past experience working in a variety of settings such as neuromuscular rehabilitation, general surgery, home care and cardiorespiratory therapy has given me a diverse background and skill set to apply with my clients in private practice. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and ability levels. I help my clients to achieve their goals by taking a holistic approach to their treatment. I utilize manual therapy techniques to help restore biomechanics, teach proper movement patterns and incorporate Pilates exercises to restore core strength prior to return to sport or activity.
I have worked with athletes of varying levels and have provided on-site physiotherapy for volleyball, soccer, basketball, curling, figure skating, triathlon and track and field events. I was a member of the medical team for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games at the mountain biking venue.
