I graduated with my Master of Science in Physiotherapy (MScPT) from Dalhousie University in 2012. Prior to attending Dalhousie I went to Memorial University and completed my Bachelor of Science in Biology (BScBio) in 2004 where I focused my studies in human physiology and cell biology. Since leaving University I have taken various post graduate courses in areas such a manual+ manipulative therapy, myofascial mobilization, acupuncture, movement impairments, back rehabilitation, neuropathic pain, and kinesiotaping. In 2016 I completed my Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy and became a member of CAMPT association.

Growing up in Bridgetown, N.S., I participated competitively and recreationally in a variety of sports including ice and ball hockey, canoeing, swimming, tennis, basketball, and soccer. I carried on my passion for sports in St. John’s, N.L., for 9 years and bounced between the West Coast of Canada and Edinburgh, Scotland before deciding to relocate permanently to the HRM.

I love working with patients of all ages and try to tailor each patient’s exercise program to the requirements of their job, hobbies, and lifestyle. I strongly believe in the power of patient education and exercise prescription as therapeutic tool and hold a strong interest in manual therapy as a supplement to promote the body’s healing process. My treatment philosophy integrates balance and motor control into a holistic treatment plan incorporating therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, postural and ailment education. I love the social component of my job and try to make physiotherapy enjoyable and interesting so others can share in my passion for the profession.
