Alicia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (Honours) from Queen 's University in 2002. Upon graduation she continued to expand her knowledge base of anatomy and biomechanics through completion of orthopaedic division courses. In 2007, she completed the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program in addition to becoming certified in Gunn IMS. In 2007, as one of the founding partners, Alicia opened the Physio & Massage Institute Ltd., with the aim of providing expert level care in manual therapy/physiotherapy. Between 2007 and 2012, Alicia completed numerous courses in acupuncture and dry needling including Assessment and Treatment of Cervical Cranio-Mandibular Disorders (TMJ) at McMaster University, in addition to several spinal manipulation courses in both Canada and The United States. In 2012, she attained her Masters of Clinical Science (Manipulative Therapy) from the University of Western Ontario. Alicia 's professional interests and areas of clinical expertise include assessment/treatment of postpartum lumbopelvic pain/disorders, management of running injuries and the application of physical therapy treatment amongst cancer patients.
