Lisa has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in Athletic Therapy with distinction from the University of Alberta. Included in her educational pursuits, Lisa acquired her Fellowship from the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy, is certified in Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, is certified in Functional Dry Needling (IMS) Level 1 with Kinetacore and has completed the Advanced Dry Needling course with On Point Needling. Lisa has also completed several post-graduate courses including Spinal Manipulation, Manual Therapy, Myofascial and Soft-Tissue Release techniques, Graston technique, K-Taping (Kinesiology tape technique), Orthopaedic courses for the Thorax , Shoulder and Core, Diagnosis and Treatment of Movement Impairment Syndromes, Mobilization of the Nervous System and Pilates instruction. Her clinical interests include Movement/ Postural Dysfunction, Shoulder, Lumbo-Pelvic and Lower Limb /Pelvic Alignment Disorders, and exercise therapies such as yoga and Pilates. Lisa has worked with a variety of sport teams and athletic events and is an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Orthopedic Division. She was also a member of the BC place medical team during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. She enjoys several recreational activities including yoga, Pilates, biking and snowboarding.
