She has taken many post graduate courses on a variety of topics of interest such as: shoulder injury rehabilitation, lumbar spine/pelvis assessment and treatment and running injury prevention and rehabilitation, myofascial treatment and evidence based practice. Hip, knee and ankle pain have always been areas of interest and study. As a co-owner of Stittsville Sport Physio, running the highly successful and busy GLA:D (Good Life with osteoArthritis from Denmark) evidence based program for hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA) at the clinic has been a wonderful experience . Monica is FMS certified and SFMA Level 1. Presenting at the National Capital Knee Symposium (uOttawa) in 2012, 2016, 2022 was an honour as well as a terrific learning experience. Speaking to orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians and physiotherapists, at these symposia, on the topic of physiotherapy for knee osteoarthritis (OA) and rehabilitation after knee replacement surgery was important in educating healthcare professionals about the valuable role for physiotherapists in managing knee pain. Monica is always learning and working to treat every client as they work toward their recovery!
