Tim graduated from Queen's University with an Honours degree in Physical Therapy in 2003. Prior to this he received an Honours degree in Kinesiology in 2000 from McMaster University. Most recently Tim has completed his combined clinical and research Masters of Science in Advanced Orthopaedics and Manipulative Physiotherapy (OMPT) Specialization at McMaster University (2016) where he studied neck and upper extremity neuromuscular activation patterns in individuals with chronic neck pain. At the post-graduate level Tim has completed his Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (2009), and has also become Certified in Medical Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (Acupuncture Canada). Tim is a member of the Sports, Orthopaedic, Acupuncture, and Pain Divisions of the CPA. Tim is a highly skilled Manual Therapist and is a Fellow and current President of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy, is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Graduate Physiotherapy Program at McMaster University, and has developed and taught post-graduate courses in Orthopaedics and Manual Therapy. Tim has also been an invited speaker at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University in the area of Physiotherapy treatment for Chronic Low Back and Pelvic Pain. He is a clinical preceptor for University Physiotherapy students, a Clinical Mentor for the Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy level system with the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA and also for McMaster's OMPT Program. His professional focus lies in the treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the spine, pelvis, and extremities. His treatment philosophy involves thoroughly educating clients about their condition, and employing specific manual therapy and neural mobilization techniques, acupuncture, and exercise therapy to facilitate optimal functional recovery and independence. Tim is a past contributing member to both the ICON and HaNSA research groups. In addition to running his own clinic, Tim also provides consultation with Interventional Pain Specialist Physicians in the Hamilton region. Tim has built a reputation for successfully treating a varied caseload of complex and 'hard to treat' patients, as well as amateur and elite athletes.
