Leah graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2006 with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy. She has worked at Elite Sports Injury since that time and has a keen interest in treatment of all injuring ranging from acute sports injuries to chronic, movement based and postural related injuries. rnrnOver the past 10 years Leah has pursued many avenues of post-graduate education, most recently completing the Masters of Clinical Science in Manipulative Physical Therapy at Western University, becoming a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT). rnrnLeah is also certified in acupuncture, dry needling, the Functional Movement Systems, including the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Functional Movement Screening (FMS), Level B of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and Part A of McKenzie Diagnosis and Treatment. rnrnLeah is an active member of the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators, having been selected as a member of the Manitoba Clinical Item Generation Team (CIGT) for the Physiotherapy Competency Examination, and well part of the Professional Development Committee with the Manitoba Physiotherapy Association. She is past member and chair of the Continuing Competency Committee with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba, and the past Equipment Manager with Sports Physiotherapy Manitoba. rnrnA former nationally ranked gymnast, Leah 's interest in physiotherapy developed at a young age. Her work as a physiotherapist has allowed her to remains involved in the gymnastics community, and well as other sporting programs including community football leagues and The Manitoba Marathon. rnrnIn her spare time, Leah enjoys remaining active through dance, yoga, running, biking and hiking. rn
