Mai earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2002. Prior to that, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. Mai continued her education by earning her Advanced Diploma of Manipulative Physical Therapy and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists. She strongly believes in improving the quality of physiotherapy through education and mentorship. She is an adjunct lecturer with the University of Toronto's Department of Physical Therapy, and mentors fellow physiotherapists through the Levels System of the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Mai has an extensive background in assessing and successfully treating orthopaedic conditions and sports injuries. She uses many treatment techniques, including manual mobilizations, joint manipulations, dry needling, neural tissue mobilization, and specific conditioning exercises to help her clients restore their maximal function.
