Stephen grew up in the small ski town of Kimberley, BC and moved to Vancouver to complete his bachelor degree in biology (1996) and his rehabilitation sciences degree in physiotherapy (2001). Since then, Stephen has undertaken postgraduate training allowing him to specialize in manual therapy, spinal and peripheral manipulation, sports injury rehabilitation, whiplash associated disorders, acupuncture, and Chan Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). He was a therapist for athlete care at the 2010 Winter Olympics. He is a current senior instructor for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Orthopaedic Division. He has trained with various sports teams including SFU Rubgy, Burnaby Lakers Lacrosse, and World Mixed Ultimate Frisbee. He has a special interest in assessing and treating knee injuries. Outside of physiotherapy, Stephen enjoys running, skiing, playing ultimate frisbee, golf, squash and tennis.
