Abiodun joined the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy as a Fellow in 2013. She had completed her advanced curriculum and examination system which satisfies the credentialing requirements of the IFOMPT and consequently got her full Membership of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP), United Kingdom in 2008. She obtained her MSc in Manual Therapy, a culmination of the advance training from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, UK in 2010. Her MSc research was published in December of 2011. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1996. Her goal to be an Orthopaedic Manual Therapist started with obtaining certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Western Australia in 2003. She employs the Bio-Psycho-Social model for pain management and uses a wide variety of hands-on Musculo-skeletal treatment and management skills set in her Out-patient Orthopaedic practice. She is certified in the use of Cognitive- Behavioral Approach to pain in Physical Therapy. Hence she empowers her clients through self-management and coping skills training to facilitate their self-efficacy. She enjoys traveling, running and strength training.
