Masters of Physical Therapy, Graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapy
Elizabeth’s interest in human movement and injury rehabilitation started early in life, but it wasn’t until she was teaching yoga in Vancouver that she realized how much there was to know (and how little she did know) about the human body - resulting in a literal endless list of questions. Not one to have a question go un-answered, Elizabeth embarked on a new career; receiving her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2014, and most recently completing a Graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. Additionally, Elizabeth has taken an exhaustive list of pelvic health courses and continues to progress her skills and acts as a mentor to other pelvic health physiotherapists newer to the profession. In her sport/orthopaedic physiotherapy practice, Elizabeth has years of hands-on experience as well as extensive post-graduate training. Most recently, Elizabeth worked at Treloar Physiotherapy Clinic in Vancouver for over 4 years, where she was mentored by both Carol Kennedy and Deb Treloar. As a Fellow of the Canadian Alliance of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), she is committed to providing accurate and evidence-informed strategies to help her clients achieve optimal comfort and function. Always on a mission to find the root cause of a problem, Elizabeth often looks beyond the site of complaint to help stitch together a comprehensive picture of a problem. You’ll find sessions with Elizabeth are multi-dimensional - with assessment strategies tailored to her clients’ needs and treatment options that may include IMS (dry needling), taping, prescriptive exercise, hands-on manual treatment, and helpful tips for continued improvement.
