Christene graduated from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1989. She has a diverse background consisting of cardiorespiratory care, neuro-rehabilitation, geriatric, home care and orthopaedics. She obtained her acupuncture certification in 1997, the certificate in intermediate manual therapy in 1998 and the certificate in advanced manual and manipulative therapy in 1999. Christene has worked in private practice since 1993. Since 2001, she has been an instructor of anatomical acupuncture course material. She has assisted and instructed orthopaedic courses. Christene incorportates manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, postural re-education, stabilization, muscle rebalancing, neurodynamic mobilization and education in order to improve function and specific activity-related goals. She believes the patient is an active participant in their own recovery and that she serves as a guide to facilitate this process. Christene is an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys camping, hiking, boating and travelling.
