Graduated from the University of Waterloo (Kinesiology) in 1994 and then McMaster University (Physiotherapy) in 1996. Pursued a career in Sports Physiotherapy 1997-1998 at Good Shepherd Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy Clinic in Longview, TX. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 1998 Opened Irwin Physiotherapy in Seaforth in 2003 but has been serving the rehabilitation needs of communities in Huron County since 1999 Obtained an Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2008 and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Physiotherapist which is a member of the International Federation of Orthopedic Manual Physiotherapist. This Advanced Diploma is highest educational level that a manual physiotherapist can achieve in Canada. Assistant / Co-Instructor for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopedic Division Manual Therapy educational stream in 2008. Certified Shift Concussion Management Program 2014 Professional interests involve the research /treatment / management of vestibular disorders, concussions and pelvic pain. Areas of clinical specialty involve the assessment and treatment of BPPV, unilateral vestibular lesions, cervical pain / headaches, lower back pain / stabilization, shoulder and knee injuries. I have been married to my wife Sandra since 1999 and have 3 beautiful children. When not being a physiotherapist my time is spent coaching soccer, baseball and hockey for my children.
