Heather graduated from McMaster University with a Kinesiology degree in 1999, and then obtained her Physical Therapy degree from Queen’s University in 2003. Shortly after she entered the Osteopathy program at The Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) in Hamilton, Ontario and completed her Diploma in 2008 and then her Masters Diploma in Osteopathic Sciences in 2010. Heather returned to the University of Western Ontario and completed her Masters of Clinical Science in Advanced Health Care Practice (2019) and achieved FCAMPT designation. As a therapist, Heather has worked with a number of athletes, teams and various high-level sporting events. She was selected as a Lead Medical Practitioner for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games working at the badminton and wheelchair tennis events. She was also a Lead Medical Practitioner for the sitting volleyball event for the 2017 Invictus Games. As a result of these experiences, Heather was the Medical Manager and Chief Therapist for the 2017 Jr Pan Am Badminton Championships and the 2018 BWF World Juniors Badminton Championships. Heather continues to be an avid athlete and enjoys competing at a national and international level in a variety of sports including triathlon, badminton and squash.
