Heather has over 17 years of experience in orthopedic manual therapy and holds her Fellowship from the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. She completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy in 2005 and published her paper (Manual Therapy 2008; 13: 375-386; A Manual Therapy Approach to the Treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence). Heather pursued her strong interest in womens ' health, completing post-graduate education in female urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pre and post-natal exercise and pessary fitting. Heather is a member of the Orthopedic and Women 's Health Divisions of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. To further deepen her clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment skills, Heather recently completed her certification in the Integrated Systems Model involving over 150 hours of training with Diane Lee as well as advanced motor control training with Paul Hodges. Common orthopedic conditions treated include: headaches, neck and shoulder pain, low back and sacroiliac joint pain, pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, diastasis rectus abdominus, hip and knee osteoarthritis, foot and ankle pain, sports injuries and repetitive strain injuries. Common pelvic floor conditions treated include: female urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, vestibulodynia, pudendal neuralgia, pre-natal & post-natal dysfunction, scar tissue resulting from perineal tears, episiotomies or caesarian sections, and abdominal and pelvic floor muscle weakness.
