CAMPT Member Profile
BScPT, BPE
I am currently a clinic co-owner and a senior practitioner at Advantage Health Aspen and Ranchlands Physiotherapy. I have also worked with national Bobsleigh, Skeleton, Luge and Alpine Ski teams. I had the pleasure and opportunity to travel to the Vancouver Olympics in 2010 and work with the Bobsleigh-Skeleton Team up to the Sochi games in 2014. I have 22+ years experience as a physiotherapist with a number of courses and certifications including my Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT), Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), Graston as well as a wealth of experience with active muscle release, myofascial cupping, kinesiotaping and advance exercise training. In an effort to function at the most advanced level of the profession, I have completed a diagnostic imaging course through the University of Alberta. With this course I have been granted the privilege to order diagnostic imaging for my clients when indicated. My latest endeavor has been to create a educational platform and start a new company, SMART PT INC. This company is dedicated to training young professionals interested in manual therapy and raising the bar in the quality of service delivery to the public. My philosophy of care is to use my various skills and training to best treat the individual rather than the diagnosis. I believe there are multiple solutions and methods to treat every different condition and having a wide range of skills that I am proficient in allows me to figure out what a particular person will respond best to rather than to try to make their rehabilitation fit into my personal preferences. My treatment style tends to be very hands on and I work closely with kinesiologists which I have personally trained to make sure treatment is both efficient and complete - including specific exercise training for ongoing self management during and following the completion of care. I believe we have a very high level of client satisfaction at our clinic and I can guarantee we will make every effort to resolve your condition or refer you for appropriate management if the issue is beyond our scope of practice.
