Bachelor of Science Physical Therapy
Laura is a graduate of both the University of Toronto where she received her Bachelor of Science of Physical Therapy in 1999, and Memorial University of Newfoundland where she received her Bachelor of Science of Psychology in 1995. She is currently a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy since completing the Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy in 2003. Laura has been practicing in clinical orthopedic physiotherapy since graduating with her physiotherapy degree. She has worked in a variety of clinics, treating all types of injuries, including sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, workplace and repetitive injuries and chronic pain. She currently works at Wedgewood Physiotherapy Clinic in St. John's. Laura is devoted to continuing education, and apart from achieving the advanced manual therapy diploma, has also taken a variety of courses including assessment and treatment of running injuries, spinal pain and dysfunction, stability training and neural tension. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking,ice hockey and spending time with her family.
