BScKin, MScPT
I graduated from Western University in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. After this, I moved to Toronto and completed my Masters of Science Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto. After working in Toronto for many years, I moved to the Kitchener-Waterloo area to continue serving the absolutely wonderful population here.
I have completed numerous post-graduate courses. I love to learn. I believe we can all continue to improve upon ourselves and I love it as a way to keep up to date with the latest research. I have completed courses in medical acupuncture, dry needling, concussion and vestibular rehabilitation and myofascial release techniques. In 2022 I completed my Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.
I have received my pilates certification and I utilize this frequently with patients who need to improve their strength and motor control. I have 20+ years of ballet experience so I believe I bring a unique perspective to the assessment and treatment of members of the performance arts and individuals with hyper-mobility conditions.
For each person I try to identify the root cause of their problem and create an individually tailored rehab program. I utilize a combination of manual therapy, dry needling, corrective exercise and education to help my clients achieve their goals. I believe in developing deep connections with each of my clients and strive to understand their “why”. I was awarded the Toronto Star Readers Choice Best Physiotherapist award for 2020 in Toronto!
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy strength training, pilates, hiking and relaxing at my cottage on the Bruce Peninsula with my husband and perfect dog Archie.
