CAMPT Member Profile
BHScPT; MSc; BA/BPHE
Mark completed his physiotherapy degree at McMaster University in 1998, after obtaining his MSc in Exercise Physiology in 1993 and BA/BPHE in 1990, both from Queen's University. Mark and his wife Hilary own Grand River Physiotherapy (established 1999) in Fergus, ON, where they work with 4 other physiotherapists treating patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Mark is keenly interested in using manual therapy to correct movement dysfunction and pain in the spine, peripheral joints and associated soft tissues. He emphasizes education, helping patients fully understand the nature of their injury or condition so that they can regain their independance through self-management, including home stretching, strengthening and stability exercises. Mark believes strongly in continuing education, having expanded his clinical interests to include vestibular (vertigo) rehabilitation, concussion management, GunnIMS and scalp acupuncture. Mark enjoys keeping fit and spending time outdoors with Hilary and their two sons. He remains passionate about sports (triathlons, running, hockey, soccer and golf), and is active coaching his sons in lacrosse and hockey.
