Martin is a registered physiotherapist with an extensive background in orthopaedic injuries caused from sports, work, motor vehicle accidents and other activities and/or pathologies. He also has a keen interest for biomechanics, exercise physiology and motor control. Martin graduated with honours from an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa in 2012. In 2014, he obtained his Masters degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa and completed a Masters of Advances Health Care Practice specializing in Manipulative Therapy from the University of Western in 2018. Furthermore, Martin is a also a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CEP). He has also taken post-graduate courses in Functional Dry Needling, vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management and temporomandibular joint dysfunctions (TMJ). Martin has had the opportunity to volunteer with various sports teams in the community including the Cumberland Panthers (OVFL), Dukes Football (NCAFA) and with multiple soccer teams (ARSO). He has given several talks with The Running Room on injury prevention in runners. Currently working at our Hunt Club and Orleans location, Martin is fluently bilingual and strongly believes in maintain a balanced and active lifestyle. He strives in offering a quality service based on manual therapy, rehabilitation exercises and client education.
