Shannon completed her degree in Physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia in 1999. She continued with her education for the next several years, pursuing courses focusing on orthopedics, completing her Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (Part B, 2003). Shannon completed her training to practice the Chan Gunn method of Intramuscular needling (CGIMS, 2004). Shannon practiced in Victoria in orthopaedic and sports clinics until she moved back to her hometown of Nelson in 2007. Shannon is happy to be part of the Kootenay Health Services team, where she utilizes a client-centered approach in her treatment sessions.
